Career Services also offers the unique opportunity to learn about the world of work from the professionals who are working in it. Our office schedules presentations from a variety of employers to share advice with LCB students on topics ranging from what it is like to be an operations manager to how do you make your self stand out among the other job applicants. Examples of employer presentations are:

  • Life After LCB (Fall) – Professionals return to the LCB to share their advice as to how to make the most of your time in college and how to prepare for the world of work

  • Employers Tell All (varies) – Panels of employers discuss career related topics such as “Managing First Impressions” and “How …

  • Career Business Symposium (spring) – Four panels of professionals discuss their career paths and share information that can help you decide if it is a good fit for you. It’s also a great chance to network after the session.

  • Employer Information sessions (Fall, winter and spring) – Employers interested in hiring students come to campus and schedule information sessions. These are intended to give you information about the organization and their openings. It’s a great way to learn about an industry, an organization current job ad internship opportunities.
