Department of Accounting Scholarships

Due to the generosity of many department supporters, we are able to award approximately $72,000 in scholarships to accounting students for the 2009-10 academic year.  You will need to prepare a general scholarship application to be considered.  Scholarship committees comprised of the accounting faculty make the final decisions.  They consider academic performance, community involvement, and financial need when making these decisions. Decisions will be made and applicants notified at the beginning of May, 2009.  Recipients will be recognized on May 21, 2009 at the Accounting Recognition Evening.

You must submit application both in hard copy and electronically no later than Friday, April 3, 2009, by 5:00 PM.  Include with your application:

1. One page cover letter describing your goals and why you should receive a scholarship
2. Copy of current resume
3. Unofficial copy of your transcript, including winter 2009 grades
