ISOM Concentration Courses

Four out of five courses are required for the ISOM concentration:
DSC433/533: Information analysis for managerial decisions (Fall)
DSC444/544: Business database management systems (Fall)
DSC466/566: Project and operations management models (Winter)
DSC477/577: Supply chain operations and information (Spring)
DSC488/588: eBusiness (Spring)

Figure 1 illustrates how these courses integrate into a coherent concentration. The information systems courses support and enhance operations and effective managerial decision-making. Without effective information analysis tools and strategies, information systems would be redundant. Finally, project and operations management provides the framework for exploiting opportunities derived from structured analysis of information.
