UG Venture Quest Winners - Spring 2008

UG Business Major Track

First Place $500

Venture: MyHaggle

Team Members: Nick Wiley and Kevin Kahle
Venture Description: MyHaggle is a web based company in Eugene, OR which offers home sellers a more efficient and economical set of options than traditional realtors. Our patent pending negotiation technology and unique marketing services are changing the way people complete real estate transactions. We are able to save home sellers tens of thousands of dollars in real estate commissions.

 

 

Second Place $250

Venture: RFIdeploy

Team Members: Quillyn Brown, Danny Bray, and Joey Mucha
Venture Description: RFIdeploy offers a complete, portable, asset management system using RFID technology. This system will enable small business owners and professionals, who previously lacked the resources necessary to implement expensive RFID systems, to reduce the cost of lost inventory and assests.

 

 

 

 

 

UG Business Minor Track

First Place $500

Venture: Cascade Crews Corporation

Team Members: Joseph Mintzlaff
Venture Description: Cascade Crews is a company that provides a wildland firefighting service to the Government. Equipped with an experienced and professional management team with better equipment and better vehicles than other industry competitors, we will have an advantage in receiving service contracts from the Government. This allows us to not only bid for a higher hourly wage, but also expand and grow as a company.

Venture: Wingman Media (College Hurdle)

Team Members: Paul Spies
Venture Description: Wingman Media LLC is gearing up to produce College Hurdle Magazine which will be the first ever college prep focused magazine. We want to provide students and parents with the most comprehensive up to date information for the college selection process.

Venture Description: Assurancy Plus gives peace of mind to the elderly and their loved ones by providing them with bill paying and assurance services. Assurancy Plus’ low cost and successful service model opens a blue ocean in one of the hottest expanding US markets, the elderly.
